DC's team has been chosen to play a regular-season game at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium — the most purpose-built football venue in Europe, featuring a retractable turf field designed specifically for American football and a matchday atmosphere that rival fans consistently describe as the best they've experienced outside of the U.S. This is only the third time Washington has played a regular-season game outside of the United States, and the first time they've returned to London in a decade. Stephen Davis was one of Washington’s most physical and dependable running backs during the late 1990s and early 2000s. A fourth-round pick out of Auburn, Davis became the centerpiece of the offense and delivered a breakout 1,400-yard season in 1999 before rushing for an incredible 1,432 yards and 17 touchdowns in 2000. Known for his punishing running style and toughness, he earned Pro Bowl honors and became a fan favorite during his time in Washington.
